Masters in Secondary International Education

I enjoyed attending the TCNJ off-site graduate programs because they were designed specifically for international school educators. Each summer, I worked with like-minded colleagues in Bangkok to bolster my skills in instruction, curriculum design, and child development...all with a heavy focus on differentiating for multilingual learners.

2012 - 2014

Secondary Teaching Certification

After receiving my BA, I immediately enrolled in a two-year post-bachelor's teaching certification program at Michigan State University. I took all of the education preparation courses that students normally take during their time as undergraduates in a single year, and in my second year, I participated in a two-semester teaching internship while completing required graduate-level coursework.

Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English

Magna Cum Laude

I completed my BA in history at Hillsdale College, a small liberal arts college in Michigan. (I also completed minors in English literature and vocal performance). I am proud that I possess a four-year degree in history in addition to my education certifications because I believe that this has made my content knowledge, my research ability, and my writing ability stronger than if I'd majored in Education initially.

I spent one semester participating in the Oxford Study Abroad Programme at New College, Oxford.

I graduated high school in the Academic Top 10 (top 10 GPAs) for the class of 2008.
